What the unit actually is
| Footprint | Approximately 44 in x 48 in floor area, 90 in tall |
|---|---|
| Tank | 60–70 gallon sealed waste tank; deluxe flushing units add a fresh-water flush and hand basin |
| Capacity between services | Roughly 250–300 uses between services |
| Power required | None required for standard units; interior lighting options may need power or battery |
| Water required | None required for standard units |

Those specifications matter more than they look. The footprint decides whether a unit fits a given placement at all, and the capacity between services decides whether the Florida minimum servicing frequency is genuinely adequate for your headcount or merely legal.
What Florida and federal rule require
Florida unit counts for special events
Florida Administrative Code 64E-6.0101 Table PR I scales required portable restrooms by expected attendance and event duration. As published examples, a 1,000-person event running 8 hours requires 4 units, and a 10,000-person event running 10 hours requires 30 units.
| Attendance | Event duration | Portable restrooms required |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | 8 hours | 4 |
| 10,000 | 10 hours | 30 |
Table PR I is a graduated table across the full range of attendance and duration. The two rows above are published reference points; confirm the exact figure for your attendance and duration against the rule text or with the county health department.

Minimum servicing frequency at special events
Florida requires portable restrooms at special events to be serviced at least daily. On a multi-day event this means service vehicle access has to be planned into the site layout before the units are ordered.

Hand wash station ratio in Florida
Florida requires one hand wash facility for every ten portable restrooms at special events and at remote locations where food is served.

How many portable restrooms must be ADA accessible
Under the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design, where multiple single-user portable toilet units are clustered at one location, at least 5 percent of the units at each cluster must be accessible and identified with the International Symbol of Accessibility.
| Units in the cluster | Minimum accessible units |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1: the single unit must be accessible |
| 2–20 | 1 |
| 21–40 | 2 |
| 41–60 | 3 |
| 61–80 | 4 |
| 81–100 | 5 |
The rule applies per cluster, not per event. An event with four separate restroom banks has four clusters, and each one needs its own accessible unit.

What moves the price
- Attendance and event length, which set the unit count under Florida Table PR I
- Whether alcohol is served: planners routinely add 15–20% capacity above the code minimum
- Unit grade: standard, deluxe flushing, or restroom trailer
- Delivery and pickup windows, including same-day breakdown and after-hours pickup
- Placement difficulty: beach, park, or closed-street placement adds handling time

How to check any Florida operator before you book
We publish no reviews and no ratings, and we are not going to invent any. Here is what you can verify instead, in about five minutes, which tells you more than an anonymous score would.
- 1Ask which county health department issued their Form DH 4013 permit. Florida requires every portable restroom service company to hold one annually. A company that cannot name the issuing county is not one to use.
- 2Look at the service vehicle on delivery day. Florida requires permit information to be displayed prominently and permanently on it, so this is checkable without asking anyone anything.
- 3Get the servicing frequency in writing. Weekly is the Florida minimum at job sites and daily at special events. A quote that does not state frequency is not a complete quote.
- 4Ask what the delivery charge actually covers. Delivery, placement and collection are separate lines at some operators and bundled at others, which is why two quotes for the same job can look nothing alike.

What happens after you call
- You tell us the site type, how many people it serves, the dates, and the address or cross-street.
- We size the order against Florida Administrative Code 64E-6.0101 and, for job sites, OSHA Table D-1, and we tell you the number before anyone quotes you a price.
- We route the request to portable restroom companies permitted to service your county.
- The operator contacts you directly with a quote. We do not take payment and we do not add a margin to their price.
- You deal with the operator from that point. The rental agreement is with them.
